PRISON MINISTRY
Freedom Behind Bars
Elder Jeremiah Nickson under the direction of Pastor and Sister Smith has vigorously facilitated the position of preaching to incarcerated men and women so that they are able to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ in prisons. Elder Jeremiah Nickson has been in full-time prison ministry at the Apostolic Revival center for over 30 years. He covers prisons throughout the state of Florida, with annual revival services in Attica Prison in New York. Many Young Men return during the “Freedom Behind Bars” services to tell how their lives have been eternally changed after receiving Jesus Christ in prison through this ministry.
Freedom Behind Bars Prison Ministry conducted its first service in Dade County Youth Hall in March of 1977 and followed by a service in Dade County jail. Six months later, God added Opa-Locka Correctional and Pompano Correctional with Elder George Jones assisting in the work. Three years later God added 26 Prisons in Florida and 26 Prisons in Georgia. God has added New York including Attica Correctional. Today God has blessed the ministry with New Jersey and Pennsylvania, totaling the ministry with over 100 prisons. To God be the Glory.
Mission
The mission of ARC Prison Ministry is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women and youth, as well as their families, to become loving and productive citizens of their communities.
Vision
A community spiritually freed from the effects of imprisonment reaching all impacted by incarceration, through love, hope, and faith found in Jesus Christ.
Matthew 25:36
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me
ARC Prison Ministries is committed to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to incarcerated individuals in local, state and federal prisons.
God's radically transforming power is available to ALL, and we share His goodness through bible studies, worship services, and prayerful encouragement.
We can always use more volunteers. If you are interested in ministering in the prisons, please see Elder Jeremiah for more information.
